Building Dispute Practitioners Society Leppington's frame set is the largest we hold for any NSW suburb, and it is where the findings concentrate. Missing bolts at steel posts and beams. Tie down bolts absent from bracing, recorded five times. Truss boots and roof bracing not installed. Washers missing, bracket fixings short, bottom plates overhanging by 25 millimetres. None of that is exotic and none of it is expensive at the time. All of it disappears the week the plasterer arrives.

A metal bracket tying a truss down to the wall frame at its bearing point. We recorded them not installed on Leppington frames, which leaves the truss resting where it was meant to be fixed.
